Reviews
One of the most striking elements ...is its integration of on-stage musical accompaniment. The original music and traditional arrangements by Tim Grimm (who also plays Heck Tate), performed by Grimm on acoustic guitar and Christopher Waltz (who also plays Boo Radley and Judge Taylor) on banjo, reflect and then heighten the emotional investment of the characters... set the tone for the show in a subtle and persuasive way.
The scenes are laced with innocent kidspeak and humor. Kids do say the darndest things, don’t they?
The setting of "Hush, Hush," which opens the show, is especially apt. The African-American spiritual, with its reminder that "somebody's calling my name," sets a seal on the play's powerful reminder that individual responsibility is a difficult burden everyone may be called upon to shoulder.
Excellent interpretation of the play. The music truly added a poignancy. This was another play that I could share with a grandchild - and continue a three generation tradition with IRT. Thank you for your excellence in addressing issues that are timeless.
...incredible cast, wonderful show, I need to see again.
Their productions never cease to amaze me! #law #culture #theater
Anything I could say about @IRTlive's To Kill a Mockingbird would be an understatement. It is a must see. And bring tissues. #irtlive
